Taiwo Olanrewaju visited the Mount of Upliftment, where footsteps of angels were said to have been seen at Lagun town in Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State. There, a mother of eight and her husband recounted how a strange creature came out of the wife’s private part and three days later was delivered of a bouncing baby boy.
IT was like a nightmare to me. I couldn’t believe it. That this strange creature came out of me? I don’t know whether to call it a crab or a bird, but I saw it fell down from my private part and it was running away so fast. I screamed and some men rushed after it and killed it.
“That was not my first time of being delivered of a child. In fact, it was my eighth delivery. But that delivery was unusual in that I was delivered of the baby on this mountain. And after that strange creature, which looked like a crab with a head or a bird came out of my private part, I thought the end had come for me,” disclosed 30-year-old Agnes Oga to Sunday Tribune.
Agnes and her husband, 33-year-old Michael, had got married in January 1996. Procreation, so to say, is the hobby of the couple who are full time farmers because between 1996 and now (2012), they already have eight children.
After she was delivered of her seventh child, the Oju Local Government Area, Benue State indigene, who is of the same local government area and state as her husband, was advised to stop giving birth as failure to do so could result in her death.
Agnes said she did not know why the nurses advised her thus and she did not ask them for the reason, but in February 2011, she discovered that she was pregnant with her eighth child and as usual, was attending the pre-natal clinic at Fiditi, close to Oyo town where she resided with her husband.
Events, however, took a different turn in October 2011, which was close to her November due date. When she was experiencing unusual birth pang, she headed to the General Hospital at Oyo town where she had series of scans.
The results of the tests she had did not point to any particular problem, yet her lower abdomen pained her so much during the pregnancy that she thought that something bad might happen to her.
That continued till November 2011 and it was so serious that the water bag ruptured but the baby refused to come. It was at the hospital that Michael was asked where he wanted his wife to be delivered of the baby.
“That was when I remembered that at one of the night vigils I attended at this mount, a prophecy was delivered concerning my wife, that if she was delivered of her baby other than on this mount, either she or the baby would die,” volunteered the husband.
Immediately, the husband arranged for a vehicle which moved the wife from the general hospital to the Mount of Upliftment. She had been there for a few days when the spirit of God told the man of God in charge of the mount, Prophet Ezekiel Adeyanju Anifowose through the Prophetess on the mount, Prophetess Oyetola Abigail Eya-Isaiah, (of the Isaiah stock) that a deliverance ministration should be done on the woman.
Thus, a special service was organised for Agnes and men of God prayed for her, rebuking all evil spirits tormenting her and the baby in her womb. That was on Sunday, 27th November, 2011. Shortly after, Agnes said she went and had a bath. She had just returned from the bathroom and was sitting down in the females’ hostel when suddenly something pushed its way through her private part and fell down.
After the coming out of the strange creature, Agnes said she became relieved of the pains she had hitherto felt. People on the mount continued praying and three days later, precisely Wednesday, 30th November, 2011; Agnes was delivered of a bouncing baby boy.
As the Ogas are looking forward to Isaac’s first birthday anniversary, Agnes said the baby boy has enjoyed good health since birth, “In fact, better than his three sisters and four brothers who I delivered in the hospital. I thank God for His mercies over us all.”
Explaining to Sunday Tribune about the delivery process, Prophetess Oyetola noted that the delivery of the baby boy, who was later christened Isaac Idiku Oga, was very easy. “There were no complications, it was very smooth and it did not take long at all.”
She, however, said the presence of the strange creature in the person of Agnes was the handiwork of the devil and its agents. “If the woman was not brought here she could have died as nobody knew that such a strange thing was in her. She has had series of scan tests before coming here and none showed that such a thing was in her.
“It is only God that knows what could have happened to her if doctors in the hospital had attempted to carry out an operation on her. We give God all the glory.
It is not human beings but God who revealed the secrets of the enemies to us and gave us the means through which we overcame the enemy,” she added.
Corroborating her, Prophet Anifowose said it was not by might or power but by the spirit of God, who had helped them then and in times past to overcome the different and various wiles of the devil and his cohorts, even as he said that God had helped them to overcome a lot of such strange cases.
