A male fan of actress, Yvonne Nelson threatened to kill himself if the actress did not retweet his message on twitter, earlier this week. The Nigerian, known simply as Saints wrote:
“I didn’t text you to exercise my fingers, I actually want a RT. Retweet b4 I hang myself 4 ceiling fan.”
His comments solicited several insults from other tweeps after Yvonne Nelson had retweeted his message.
We all are fans of artistes based on different factors and it’s perfectly ok. But should it go beyond that and turn into an obsession? Assuming Yvonne chose not to reply his tweet and the fan went ahead to hang himself, would Yvonne Nelson be to blame for it?
