Minnesota state Governor Mark Dayton declares 23rd of May as Beyoncé day

Who runs the world? Girls. Who runs Minnesota? Beyoncé. At least, for a day! In a proclamation posted on social media yesterday, Governor Mark Dayton and Lieutenant Governor Tina Smith made it clear that May 23, 2016 can and should be dedicated to all things Queen Bey for 24 hours.

"Beyoncé has influenced many young girls and women with powerful, positive messages in her songs and thousands of Minnesotans will gather at TCF Bank Stadium to hear Beyoncé perform," the proclamation wrote. "Now, therefore…I hearby proclaim Monday as Beyoncé day."
